Steuben County Girl Scouts are pleased to announce the merge of our service unit with the Lagrange County Service Unit. We are now Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana Service Unit #211. We are working to update our website to reflect the joining of our service units.

This website has been created in an effort to serve the members of our team, the volunteers and leaders of our troops, and the girls and parents in our service area. We hope you'll find the information we'll be sharing here useful.

Steuben County Girl Scouts offers a week-long day camp for girls within our service unit each year in June. We are proud of the volunteers that make this event possible and enjoy the opportunity to take part of the lives of the girls within our community.

We Appreciate Outstanding Local Business Support

Steuben County Girl Scouts appreciate the support of local businesses. Pictured above are Liz Thomas of Panache Salon Spa, polishing the fingernails of a member of Carlin Park Troop #20251.

This Daisy Troop collected hard, rigid plastic bottle caps that cannot be recycled in our county throughout the 2008-09 school year. In an effort to keep this type of plastic out of landfills and re-use the plastic, Panache SalonSpa collects these caps for our community and then sends them to a facility in New Jersey that is capable of recycling them. The recycled plastic is then used in the creation of packaging for Aveda products, which are sold at Panache Salon Spa.

We appreciate Panache's support of the endeavors of our girls, and your drive to "Go Green".
